Aksaray University Fine Arts Education Department began its educational activities in the 2014-2015 academic year. It gave its first graduates in 2018. The department includes Art Education Department and Music Education Department programs.
For undergraduate students, the courses given during the 4-year education process are grouped into three different areas: field knowledge, professional knowledge and general culture. Each student engages in contemporary artistic productions suitable to their individual characteristics. In the fourth year, students are required to do internships in schools under the Ministry of National Education for one year.
Students are admitted to the program through a special aptitude exam held annually.

Our mission is to train distinguished teacher candidates who are sincerely committed to Atatürk's principles and reforms, possess national and universal identity awareness, are tolerant, fair, have internalized democratic culture, possess professional competence and aesthetic sensitivity, are researchers, can think analytically and critically, have developed communication skills, are at peace with themselves and their environment, are constructive, creative.

Our vision is to be a department that not only trains qualified visual arts teachers for the knowledge society but also produces knowledge in fields related to education, teaching and visual arts education, continuously improves itself, is exemplified by the teachers it trains, and is honored to be a member of.
